Wordfence Free receives firewall rules and malware signatures created by the industry-leading Wordfence Threat Intelligence team after a 30 day delay. With this in place and With 24 hour uptime monitoring the chances of being hacked are significantly reduced.

Plugin and theme updates

Plugins for WordPress are pieces of software that can be integrated with your website, to add functionalities and features. In order to keep your website running smoothly, you’ll need to make sure all plugins and themes are kept up-to-date at all times. In some cases themes will be discontinued / abandoned and no longer supported, making them in the first instance vulnerable and secondly non functional as plugins become incompatible. We had this instance a number of years ago where the theme we used “Headway” was abandoned. Once we found out the theme was no longer supported we rebuilt out client sites on a different WordPress theme.
